RETAIL LOGISTICS MANAGER | £35,157 - £40,320 per annum + annual bonus scheme
Full Time: 37.5 hours per week (Monday to Friday).

Here at Dorothy House Hospice, we operate one of the largest charity retail networks in the South West, with over 30 shops, a busy warehouse operation, house clearance services and a small group of vans. Every item we collect, process and distribute helps generate vital income that supports specialist end of life care for local patients and families.
As our Retail Logistics Manager, you will lead the operation that keeps our retail business moving. Working through Team Leaders and operational leads, you'll be responsible for the performance, development and continuous improvement of our warehouse, distribution, van operations, house clearance, recycling and waste management services.

WHAT WILL THE ROLE INVOLVE?
- Leading the overall performance, capability and development of Dorothy House's retail logistics function through Team Leaders and operational leads
- Driving performance across warehouse operations, stock distribution, van logistics, house clearance, recycling and waste management services
- Ensuring donated and new goods stock flow efficiently across the retail estate. Predicting volumes and maximising product availability and sales opportunities
- Managing fleet utilisation, routing, capacity planning, compliance and operational resilience across the vehicle operation
- Developing house clearance and recycling services to maximise income generation, sustainability and customer satisfaction
- Setting and monitoring KPIs, analysing performance data and identifying opportunities for operational improvement and cost efficiencies
- Leading continuous improvement initiatives that enhance productivity, service quality and commercial performance
- Managing budgets, resources and operational planning to deliver value for money and strong operational outcomes
- Ensuring high standards of health, safety, compliance and risk management are maintained across the logistics operation

ABOUT YOU
We're looking for a proven operational leader who can combine strategic thinking with strong people leadership and a track record of delivering results in logistics, warehousing, distribution or transport environments.
Essential requirements:
- Experience leading logistics, warehousing, distribution, transport or operational teams
- Experience analysing operational performance and implementing measurable improvements in productivity, quality, service or cost efficiency
- Experience managing operational budgets, resources and performance targets
- An understanding of health and safety, compliance and risk management within an operational environment
- Experience leading change programmes and continuous improvement initiatives
- Stakeholder management skills with the ability to build effective internal and external relationships
Desirable requirements:
- Experience within a multi-site retail, charity retail, circular economy or commercial logistics environment
- Professional qualification in logistics, transport, supply chain, operations management or leadership
