Retail New Goods Manager

Salary: £34,000 – £34,000 per annum + Generous holidays, Pension + Bonus

RETAIL NEW GOODS MANAGER | £34,000 per annum + annual bonus scheme

This is a fantastic opportunity to use data, insight and collaboration to ensure our shops have the right products at the right time, supporting both our customers and our wider purpose. We'll provide you with the support you need to develop in the role and make a real impact across our retail estate.

The role will include:

  • Leading the commercial performance of new goods across our retail estate, including sales, margin and stock turn
  • Using data, insight and shop feedback to optimise product range, pricing and stock allocation
  • Ensuring the right products reach the right shops at the right time, working closely with warehouse and distribution teams
  • Taking ownership of stock management, reducing slow-moving stock and improving overall stock efficiency
  • Developing and implementing an insight-led approach to buying and range planning
  • Building strong working relationships with shop teams, providing guidance on product ranges and merchandising
  • Working with suppliers to ensure quality, availability and value for money
  • Supporting continuous improvement in retail processes, driving consistency and strong commercial standards
  • Leading, supporting and developing a small team, including staff and volunteers

HOURS OF WORK

This is a Full-Time position, working 5 days out of 7.

Due to the nature of this role, you may on rare occasion be requested to work on a weekend day.

ABOUT YOU

Please Note that only existing Dorothy House employees / volunteers are eligible to apply for this role.

Essential requirements:

  • Demonstrates experience delivering commercial performance (sales, margins, stock turn)
  • Can demonstrate experience improving processes and solving operational problems
  • Can evidence using data and insight to drive decisions and improvements
  • Has experience building effective working relationships across teams
  • Heas experience in range planning, product lifecycles management and stock control
  • Shows excellent organisational skills with the ability to manager competing priorities
  • Demonstrates a confidence in communicating clearly with a range of senior stakeholders

Desirable requirements:

  • Previous experience working within charity or commercial retail
  • Experience supporting, line managing, or supervising staff and/or volunteers
  • Knowledge of EPOS/stock systems and retail reporting tools
