Senior Community Fundraiser

SENIOR COMMUNITY FUNDRAISER | £41,000 per annum

Full Time - 37.5 hours over 5 days a week (Monday to Friday).
Location: Winsley, Wiltshire (with Hybrid working agreed)

At Dorothy House Hospice Care, every fundraising activity helps us provide compassionate care and support for people with life-limiting illnesses and their families. As our Senior Community Fundraiser, you'll play a leading role in growing our community fundraising portfolio, developing long-term supporter relationships and generating vital income that enables our services to reach those who need them most.

This is an exciting opportunity to lead and develop a passionate fundraising team, support a growing network of volunteers, and work alongside local businesses, schools, community groups and individual supporters. You'll be at the heart of creating innovative fundraising opportunities, helping supporters achieve their fundraising goals while strengthening Dorothy House's presence across the community.

WHAT WILL THE ROLE INVOLVE?

• Leading and developing the Community Fundraising team, providing support, coaching and guidance to maximise performance and impact
• Building strong relationships with supporters, community groups, schools, colleges, nurseries, clubs and local organisations to grow income and engagement
• Supporting and developing a growing network of fundraising volunteers in line with the Dorothy House volunteer strategy
• Delivering against agreed income targets, budgets and key performance indicators while monitoring and reporting on progress
• Creating and developing new community fundraising opportunities, campaigns and initiatives that encourage long-term support
• Acting as an ambassador for Dorothy House, representing the hospice at presentations, cheque presentations, talks, events and community functions
• Working closely with the Communications Team to promote fundraising activities and maximise supporter engagement
• Ensuring supporters receive excellent stewardship, recognition and thanks, helping to build lasting relationships with the hospice
• Producing professional reports and presentations while maintaining accurate records and supporter data in line with GDPR requirements
• Supporting wider fundraising activities and key hospice events as required

ABOUT YOU

Essential requirements:

• Good standard of English and Maths.
• Confident using databases and Microsoft Office tools to generate and present reports.
• Experience working towards and delivering revenue targets.
• Previous experience within a fundraising or sales role
• A passionate leader who demonstrates being able to motivate a team and lead by example.
• Demonstrates a results driven, creative and innovative approach to problem solving.
• Excellent organisational and prioritisation skills
• Full UK driving licence with access to a vehicle

• Experience leading a team
• Experience working with volunteers
