WAREHOUSE DISTRIBUTION LEAD | £30,000 per annum + annual bonus scheme
We have an exciting opportunity for someone to take ownership of stock flow and play a key role in ensuring our shops receive the right stock at the right time.
This is a fantastic opportunity to support retail performance across Dorothy House by improving how donated stock is sorted, allocated and distributed, working closely with shop teams, warehouse colleagues and volunteers to maximise impact.
The role will include:
- Leading the coordination of donated stock flow from donation points and warehouse through to shops
- Allocating stock based on shop needs, capacity and performance to support strong sales
- Ensuring the right stock reaches the right shops at the right time
- Overseeing the day-to-day operation of the donation station and warehouse sorting team
- Improving stock flow processes to increase efficiency and reduce delays
- Working collaboratively with retail, warehouse and van teams to support smooth operations
- Communicating clearly with shop teams on stock availability and allocation priorities
- Managing stock from donation through to distribution, improving quality and value recovery
- Leading and supporting a team of staff and volunteers to deliver high standards

HOURS OF WORK
This is a Full-Time position, working 5 days out of 7.
Due to the nature of this role, you may on rare occasion be requested to work on a weekend day.
ABOUT YOU
Please Note that only existing Dorothy House employees / volunteers are eligible to apply for this role.
Essential requirements:
- Experience working in an operational or retail environment - such as warehousing, on a shop floor, or logistics.
- Can demonstrate using data to make decisions that improve performances
- The ability to organise and prioritise workload effectively and a changing environment.
- Demonstrates problem-solving skills with examples of improving process or resolving operational issues.
- Ability to work collaboratively and build effective working relationships across teams.
- Demonstrates organisational skills with the ability to prioritise competing demands and maintain constant delivery.
Desirable requirements:
- Confident using basic systems or data to support decision-making (e.g. spreadsheets, reporting tools or operational systems).
- Experience working in charity retail environments
- Experience managing volunteers and/or staff teams
