Your main duties and responsibilities will include:
- Fostering and promoting a positive health and safety culture and ensure a safe working environment.
- Identifying and addressing training needs for staff and volunteers, delivering training both online and face-to-face.
- Assisting managers in implementing health and safety systems and procedures, including accident reporting and lone working technology.
- Conducting audits and inspections to evaluate and improve our health and safety systems, making recommendations for improvement.
- Investigating incidents and accidents to prevent recurrence and report as necessary.
- Overseeing and supporting the annual risk assessment program and manage our fire risk assessments.
- Supporting organisational personal safety initiatives with our Learning and Development colleagues, through training, ensuring systems and equipment are in place.
- Leading health and safety projects, managing procurement and implementation of systems and technology.

HOURS OF WORK
This role is a Part Time position. You will be working 24 hours a week, working 3 days a week across Monday to Friday.
ABOUT YOU
In order to be successful you will have excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to confidently cooperate with state holders at all levels. You will have analytical and problem solving skills with a good standard of English and Maths.
Essential requirements:
- A good understanding of health and safety practices at work.
- Confident in Microsoft packages including Word, Excel, PowerPoint
- A skilled Administrator with experience using complex databases/IT Systems
- Proven ability to collaborate across multiple departments and build strong relationships across teams.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise workloads and work to deadlines/changing demands
- Demonstrating the ability to move between being proactive and reactive with work requirements
Desirable requirements:
- NEBOSH Certificate or other relevant qualification*
- IOSH Technical Membership*
- Previous experience within a health and safety role
- Knowledge of health and social care working environments.
*If not already held, the post holder will be required to undertake relevant qualifications and training throughout the role.
