Description

Dorothy House is an outstanding organisation with an ambitious strategy to support increasing numbers of patients and families who value the services we provide; in all that we do our aim is to add life to days. To help us realise our strategy we are seeking a proactive and forward thinking Recruitment Manager who can make a positive impact and a real difference to our approach to recruitment and resourcing overall.

Supported by a recruitment administrator, our Recruitment Manager will focus on the delivery of a quality recruitment service which is about to be enhanced with the use of technology. A transformation project is underway to change how we attract and manage all aspects of the recruitment journey and our Recruitment Manager will be pivotal to all of this. They will work hard to maximise the benefits technology can offer us, whilst educating managers on the difference the system can bring.

If you are ambitious, proactive and able to command the opportunities that digital resourcing can offer then please get in touch.

For further information or an informal discussion about the role, please contact Tony Rees, Assistant Director for People on 01225 722988 or Liza Pinching, Director of People & Services on 07789675825

Required skills for this position

Our ideal candidate will be experienced in operating under pressure in a fast pace and competitive resourcing landscape in order to secure good people to join our diverse workforce across a range of roles, including professional clinicians, community based carers, fundraisers, retail staff and many other critical roles.

Our focus is on quality both in regards to the people we attract but also in our recruitment approach.

At Dorothy House, the principles of equality, diversity and inclusivity are central to our work as an outstanding care provider and employer. They are inherent in our values where we care, we connect and we create. We recognise the diversity of the people who deliver our services and the people who receive them. We believe that by building a diverse workforce, underpinned by a culture of respect, we will create an environment where everyone will have access to receive outstanding care and support from Dorothy House, regardless of characteristic.

Our 2021 Services Review identified how we need to work differently to achieve our strategic mission to ensure that “everyone has access to outstanding palliative and end of life care” and has presented us with an opportunity to improve on the “community development” work of the past and engage differently with our communities for the benefit of our patients, carers and families. Put another way, this is our moment ‘to do things differently’ and we are embracing this through Asset Based Community Development. We expect all staff to embrace this strategy and we will provide training accordingly.
